Warner Brothers studios, after releasing two amazing trailers which had the fan-worlds buzzing, was sitting pretty two weeks ago.
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince:
The Watchmen
Now, not so much.
Warner Brothers is suffering the results of it’s own hubris.
Firstly – the wild seven month release date time leap [...]

I’ve taken a hiatus from Graphic Novels and comic books in the last few weeks to pursue a few regular style novels that I’d been meaning to attend to. Give me a few weeks and I should be back on track…I promise.
The most recent book was Rant – An Oral Biography of Buster Casey by [...]

Apparently as a parting “Fuck You” to women’s reproductive rights, the Bush administration is toying with the idea of classifying birth control (the pill, IUD’s, the patch) as abortion.
Just in case you thought you read that incorrectly…yes, I did just say, classifying birth control as abortion.

Recently finished the third book in the Uglies Trilogy – a young adult miniseries written by Scott Westerfield based around a future society where everyone gets “surge” (plastic surgery) and becomes “pretty” when they reach puberty. At first I [...]

I have to pass on another awesome link from the San Diego Comic-Con 2008. This is worth the watch just to hear Hugh Jackman say “berserker rage” with his Australian accent.
And Stan Lee finally says what I’ve been muttering all along about comic book movies – that they are finally being given the dimension that [...]

It’s hard to feel awful about leaking promotional material – so I don’t. If they wanted to keep it a super secret, they wouldn’t have released it to a room full of rabid fans.
LOOKS LIKE THE TRAILER HAS BEEN PULLED EVERYWHERE – SORRY FOLKS.
It’s hardly a shocker…but why bother acting like all the promotion the studio received violated ”Property [...]

This little ditty quietly snuck past any major news outlet reporting what with Obama and McCain cat-fighting, and the joblessness rate hitting a four-year-high.
While I can’t say this clears up my considerable anger over FISA or bailing out Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to the tune of $300 billion of the taxpayers dollars…I would commend [...]
