So, I was surprised to drum up this fancy piece of information this afternoon will scanning through my RSS Feeds. I suppose that’s one thing that I’ve always loved about Portland, the city’s ability to look towards the future. And/or copy California/Seattle.
I’m not unaware of the fact that what PGE REALLY wants…is to [...]

You’ll have to pardon me - my level of tolerance and wit is WAY WAY down as I face the many curve-balls life has been throwing lately. My bank account balance being the most amusing one I can think of off the top of my head.
Perhaps it is a symptom of being too well-informed, but [...]

The Governator gives the automotive industry a one-two punch in the gut and tells those bitches, “Hey - Stop Whining!”
Just like in Kindergarten Cop.
What was most intriguing to me about this article, was the fact that there are actually proposed federal fuel efficiency regulations for 2015 and 2020 - pretty exciting stuff.
Not surprising - the [...]

A moment of silence for the delicious, relatively in-expensive Pacific NW Salmon I have come to enjoy on a regular basis through my local Costco store.
And here’s why.
I’m going to go out on a limb here and compare the declining Chinook population to the bats and bees dying off too. Seriously. I’ll say it again [...]

Feeling cynical…and this article didn’t do much to cheer up my Monday Morning blahs.
Here’s why:
GM had a completely electric, plug-in car, about 10 frickin’ years ago!
And California was also developing infrastructure to support these cars, until the lobbyists, the car companies, the un-informed public, and everyone else conspired to kill the electric car.
So - it sounds like it [...]

First it was the bees…
And now it’s the bats…
Anyone else a little creeped out by what signs like these portend for the future?
Not that I’ve ever been terribly fond of either (Bats have rabies! Bees sting!) But they do have their up-sides - like honey! eating insects!
I’m not going to go all “environmentalist” and [...]
