Game of Thrones Costume: Brienne of Tarth Part 2

Have been working on putting the costume together and picked up a few pieces over the last week. Thought I’d post an update here to prove there’s been progress.

The sword:

Added some brown duct tape to the handle for better grip.

The armor:

Leg, shoulder and wrist guards. Rubber material.

The boots:

Costume boots and cape

Have been wearing these around town to break my feet into the notion of high heels. This is how much I love Halloween and costumes.

The cape:

Doesn't look like much yet, but the lady at the fabric store promised it would cover up a multitude of sewing sins.

Aesthetically all the pieces are looking decent together:

Silver and blue.

What we have so far (sans cape):

Yes, I do look a bit bloated here. Blame it on unemployment.

What’s staying in this pic: All the shoulder, leg and wrist guards. The boots. The sword. The black leggings will be the base.

What’s going: The top shirt. Maybe a black base up top – black is a bit more slimming. đŸ˜‰

What’s missing: The cape (draped across left shoulder). The knitted chainmail hood (spray-painted silver). The silver rubber breastplate. The silver rubber skirt. A black top shirt? Maybe a fabric resembling chainmail?

Will be purchasing the Quorin Halfhand costume and the Brienne breastplate and skirt this weekend when we get some influx of monies. Can’t wait! I’ll post more as it comes together.

Duuude I have no idea how you do these things! I’m planning on making costumes for my boyfriend and I who plan on cosplaying as Jon and Dany. I have no clue how to do these things but i’m determined.
